I worked as a residential social worker at High Beech, Coopers Hill Lane. This was my first job in social work, and I continued in this field until I retired nearly 2 years ago at the age of 67. I loved my work!

I also remember Umberto, he really was a really nice and fair member of staff. I was there 1975-1976 and remember it well with a lot of fond memories, singing "All Coppers are *****" as we passed the police college at the top of the hill in the mini bus. I do often wonder what happend to all the staff and friends I made there. I retire in 3 years time and have spent my working life in IT. I am now married for 34 years with 4 daughters and grandchildren, so life has been good to me.
