I also remember the sweet shop next to the school. It was run by Mrs Hester. I also went to Holmesdale School in the 1960s. My Aunt pat and Uncle Mick ran the prince of Wales in the 70s and 80s.

I attended Holmesdale school from 1958 to 1963 ...hello to Andy Phillips, Paul Gale and Chris Mockler amongst others...great times

Hello Anthony Higgins,I'm David Gale older brother of Paul, best regards. Re other posts on this site: Dodds was further up the road and sold their own frozen ices nearly opposite the fish & chip shop. Mr. Yates was teaching at Reigate Priory in the early 60's.

Re Holmesdale Rd School Reigate my mother's elder brother was school caretaker their for may years. He and his wife Martha lived at 45 and his sister lived three doors further on from him.

i was a pupil at holmesdale school and lived at No34..i was in the football team along with Kevin Tucker . i remember the the very kind Mr Waller. A lifetime ago !

I was at Holmesdale in the 60s. I think I remember Ken Turrell who I believe had a brother called Wayne who lived off Nutley lane. Mrs Hester sold 'Potato Puffs' which I've not seen to this day. My Dodd had a wooden leg and as stated by David Gale sold tasteless home made orange lollies and drinks. Not sure he had much else in that very dark shop....
