The house opposite in the above picture was where my grandfather Frederick Parris and his wife Edith lived while he was working for Mr. Maclean as his gardener. I do not know when he moved there but left the house there in 1947 on the death of his wife although he kept working there until the early 1950's and the farm and pond were still there.
