I lived at Hope Cottage, about half a mile down the road to the village (Three Horse Shoes pub). I went to the this school from about 1948 to 1952. My father worked on the farm for Mr Tom Prichard with Pop Harding and his family of 10.

We live next door to the school. The school no longer has the chimneys and some land was sold to the school to extend the playing area. I have found by coincidence my husband's family (the Earles)
lived and worked on Sidlow Farm. Would love to hear if anyone has any
stories about the Ironsbottom area.

Just browsing came across this aite and was amazed to find a reference
to the Earles Family,I know this may be a long shot but we used to live at Churches Farm ,I think your relative was the Shepard and Tractor driver for the Farmer there,I can't remember his name,I was very young. We lived in the cottage at the end of along track,it was during the war, there used to an army camp down near to what we called the front road to East Grinstead.Oh! happy memories.
