I think my grandfathers Aunt worked here at the time of the 1911 census. Does anyone know if there are records kept from this time so that I can try to verify if I have the right lady or not.

Thanks

Denise

I attended this school from 1945 until 1948. My religion is Church of England not Catholic but after my mother was left as a widow during the war, she chose this school because she thought that the Nuns would be kinder than ordinary teachers, which in my case they were kind and I will never forget Mother Columbia all dressed in her white Nun's robes. I loved her! I was there from age 6 until age 9 when my mother decided to take me away because of an argument with the Nuns. Apparently I was dancing on the stage with whopping cough during one of the parents visiting days, although I did have by liberty bodice on (which in itself annoyed my mother). My best friend was a girl called Angela and I think I still have a picture of her. It would be lovely to find her.
