"The Grapes" - stop for the Southwark coaches 3 days a week until 1908. Later the HQ of the Cyclists Union. It became part of Knights shop in 1911.

My grandfather was supposed, for one time to have blown the coach horn on a London-Brighton coach. He was listed as an ostler and living in Southwark in 1901, so he may possibly have ridden on the the coach mentioned in the photograph
