Am I right that this was formerly the Police Training establishment where I received my basic training in 1967? If it is, then at the time we were led to believe that Canadial troops had been billeted there during WWII. Comment 3

I worked at this property in the 50's when it was known as Adastral House (probably because the then owner was a pilot in the RAF). It was a beautiful building in magnificent grounds and the photographs show that it has been tastefully restored to its former glory. I would love the opportunity to visit it again but as I am in my early 80's and no longer drive, this is unlikely. |
