I945! I can see myself facing the congregation singing The 23rd psalm,with Dr Green playing the organ at the back of the chapel with some one pumping at the bellows. My stay at Spurgeons was from 1937 to 1946, Stockwell to BIrchington then to Reigate with a stay in Wales in 1944 ,to get away from Doodlebugs. Comment 2

Good to see that you John are still here. I put it down to good living and a good upbringing. We had a good education, and were fed so well, even though it was during the war years. We always had plenty to eat. |
