Holmesdale CP School. 7 boys off to visit Purley Signal Box (they called themselves ?The Train Trotters Club?) with their Headmaster Clifford Price and a very heavy Ferrograph tape recorder, are pictured in 1958 or 1959.

I went to Holmesdale CP School from 1959 -1963. Mr Price was from South Wales, as were most of his staff... Mr. Jones, Mrs. Evans, Miss. Hughes...teachers being Wales' greatest export! I also remember Miss. Newton and Mr. Yeates. A great place where learning the 3 R's was the priority. Mr. Price had a nick name for everybody; mine was Gee Whizz!

Would be good to see a photo of the staff....
